An EU authorised representative – or a responsible person – is a natural or legal entity located within the EU that represents a manufacturing company based outside the EU and acts on the company’s behalf regarding specific tasks. An authorised representative is usually responsible for providing market authorities with compliance information required to demonstrate a product’s CE marking conformity.
