The Declaration of Conformity is a legal paper document that manufacturers of certain types of products must have to be able to sell their goods on the territory of the European Economic Area. This document is mandatory for any product falling within the scope of one or several of the EU CE directives and regulations. Products that need to have a Declaration of Conformity are, for example, toys, medical devices, machinery, lifts, and electrical equipment.
